Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana is set to have a medical ahead of a proposed £25m move to Liverpool.
The 26-year-old England international is expected to complete his transfer to the Reds within the next 24 hours.
Liverpool had two bids for Lallana rejected before the
World Cup, and Southampton reopened talks after he reiterated his wish
to leave the club.
Rickie Lambert
has already joined Liverpool from Saints, who have also
sold Luke Shaw
to Manchester United.
Lallana has been at Southampton for 14 years, having
joined the club as a 12-year-old from Bournemouth, who hold a 25%
